Does anyone else have as much trouble with this as I do?
It feels like I am just never content with a decision. I will switch to something completely new and then down the road I will get another idea and want to change everything all over again. Is that a common thing? Probably. So here I have made another impulsive decision. But it’s ok because I pretty well have sold out of stock for the year so I can focus on new labels and a new look for new products! And if I start now, I will be able to roll it all out January 1, 2017.
But I did pick a logo so that I could order new business cards, if you read my craft show fiasco, you will understand why I needed new business cards. Unfortunately I don’t always think things through, oh well what can you do?
I have gotten business cards from different places over the years, moo.com, vistaprint.com, and tinyprints.com. All are GREAT choices. I love the mini cards from moo.com, people went bananas over them because they were so tiny and awesome. But the tried and true comes from vista print. It is easy to create, super cheap and fast processing. I can have them within 3 days from across the country. And it is conveniently delivered right to my desk. Here is a peek of my new business cards! I won’t even show you what the other ones looked like, frankly, I’m not proud of them. But these! These are quite nice.
Thanks to Coffeeandinkdesign over at Etsy, I have a great logo that I received in like 2 hours after purchasing. I like things to be snappy when I am being impulsive, don’t give me a chance to change my mind.
Due to my impulsiveness, I now have the beginning of a new look.
My advice to you if you are looking to change things up, is to make a PLAN! Do as I say, not as I do. Make a list, make a mood board, sleep on it, and make sure it’s really what you want. It’s not cheap to keep changing everything and it doesn’t help to keep people knowing who you are and what you are all about.
My inspiration for this logo was this. My dream is to one day own a little coffee shop. And as I was searching for a new logo I was thinking about how each logo would look in white, on the glass on the door going into my shop. This was the one. It is simple and modern and if I feel like it needs something more I can just easily overlay it on something to add a variation.
Next is going to be packaging. I have always struggled with this, but I have time to figure it out. I think I am going to pull the greens out from the forest picture and go from there.
